عكس الحرام / The Opposite of Haram; A Queer Muslim Manifesto

$20.00

½ sized 12 pages

A letter full of things I wish someone had told me. A 16-page love letter to queer and trans Muslims, and to those we stand alongside in the fight.

From the zine:

“Islam is a revolution

Islam is the belief that the arc of justice will prevail. That tyranny will be thwarted and the oppressed will have liberation. That Allāh (swt) is love. That Palestine will be free, within this lifetime, InshaAllāh.

And as Islam is a revolution, we queer and trans Muslims are by nature revolutionary. We stand in our authenticity and refuse assimilation. We reject the status quo. We seek truth and justice on this plane. We stand arm in arm with those who resist oppression.

As our deen and dunya are forced ever more at odds with each other, and fascism consolidates across the globe, the Quran is our guidebook on how to resist tyranny. And Ramadan is a month of resistance.”

Cardstock overlaid risograph-printed cover, in Medium Blue + Bubblegum Pink. Published Ramadan/March 2025.
