DREAM BREATHING
Dream Breathing issue#1: Abolitionist Dreaming Practice
1/2 sized ⦁ 22 pages
This is the first of the Dream Breathing series: zines created to explore and support abolitionist dreaming practices. Many of us have dedicated so much of our lives, our ways of being and moving in community, to abolition — the cessation of all systems and institutions of state violence, white supremacy, and oppression. It can be difficult to cast our weary eyes beyond the front lines, but in the mirages of the horizon new worlds are waiting to be conceived.
This 20 page issue introduces Shakutake Eli Ryn Brown (all pronouns) and their practice, presents different meditations and breathing exercises, explores posture and body, and poses reflection questions around dreaming, community and rest. Atlas Tan (they/them) is interviewed in the center pages, providing us with wisdom and generous dialogue to sit with as we move through the experience.
Dream Breathing issue#2: Regulation Revolution
1/2 sized ⦁ 22 pages
This issue of Dream Breathing: Regulation Revolution lives in the in-betweens. While the larger issue contains interview, longer written content and practice tips throughout, the in-betweens invite slowness into the body with its focus on practice and longer regulation exercises.
Think of it as a workbook for liberated breath.
As you breathe with these pages, know I am here practicing alongside you. Each exhale is an opportunity for release and return. Each inhale beckons our fullness, clarity, and healing.
May the dreams of our collective expansion show us true and rest-fueled revolution.
